FilmLab is an app designed to facilitate the viewing and digitization of film negatives. The app has undergone extensive research and development efforts over the years to ensure an effective and user-friendly film scanning solution.
Among its capabilities, FilmLab accommodates the scanning of color negatives, black and white negatives, as well as color positives such as slides. This versatile tool is compatible with all film formats, including 35mm, medium format, and large format films. It seamlessly integrates with various film scanning setups commonly utilized by photographers, including kits from reputable brands like Negative Supply, Valoi, pixl-latr, Lomography, and Kodak. Furthermore, FilmLab supports the import of scans in multiple image formats, including camera raw files.
FilmLab Subscriptions:
- Upon installation, FilmLab grants users 12 complimentary scans per device. For unlimited scanning capabilities, users have the option to subscribe on a monthly or annual basis. Subscriptions entail payment via the user's Apple account and will automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the current subscription period ends. Users retain the ability to disable auto-renewal at any time through their Account Settings in the App Store post-purchase. In the event of subscription cancellation, users can still access and edit all previously scanned images created during the active subscription period.
